Amazing staff, great location, outstanding value for money

Great location and value for money. The double bed in the shared dorms was walled off and felt like a mini private room. The staff were amazing and very welcoming and happy to help in planning our day.

Good value for money!

The property had very welcoming hosts, a good community feel and overall very friendly. The bunk we had was a top one so it was like having your own room, you could stand up and everything. The showers were nice and hot, the bathrooms were cleaned frequently and the overall price and location was great.

It was a little damp, we didn’t spend too much time in the room it felt damp and made us cough quite abit- the only fix I could see for this is putting in damp absorbers or a dehumidifier. The bedding had little stains on it also and the cover we were provided with was pretty itchy.

Relaxed and comfortable, some improvements needed.

A relaxed hostel, well equipped kitchen, comfy capsule-style beds with a reading light and power socket. Very helpful and responsive management.

The showers are terrible, really low pressure and rarely hot water. The WiFi was often slow. Having ability to padlock the underbed drawers would make a huge positive difference and remove the need for reserving special lockers. If you do not speak Spanish, I would not recommend booking tours with the tour agency affiliated with the hostel.

Dorms have huge lockers and each bunk is in a "2-meter-long" private capsule with AC & a light.

* Big kitchen with many long tables and benches covered in what looks and feels like animal furs, for that "10,000 BC" aura; * 2 blocks down the same street is a big, very well equipped, and very cheap fitness center. They play music requests! * A Chedraui hyper store, Electra, and shopping mall are just 7-8 minutes away by a collectivo bus, costing $8 pesos; * The city's main town square with restaurants, cafes, and bars is a 10 minute walk straight up Guadalupe Victoria Street; * Pets are allowed, but maybe not huge reptiles with razor-sharp teeth & powerful jaws that are always in an attack-mode.

The cobblestone sidewalks on this street can be dangerous because they are narrow, half a meter, or so, higher than the street, and don't have hand-rails. Naturally, cobblestone surfaces are not level, but these sidewalks are slippery when wet. Good reason to: Wear hike-boots, and avoid strolling about after boozing it up. The internet was a bit sporadic and that might strike terror in the hearts of anyone using a DAW, or doing a Pod-Cast. Not sure if it was the hostel's modem, or not. Indoor-heating, especially at night, will only be a memory, so consider bringing a jumper and maybe some long-johns.

Wonderful

Even though it's a hostel they offer double bed with curtains, clean bed and towels. Nice open space to sit but can get cold in the end of the day. Good kitchen well equipped. Friendly staff very helpful! Carlos kept our bags while we went to another city for 2 days. 10min to the main square and there are places to eat nearby.

Very Cheap (But Huge) Dorm Beds & Cheap, Clean Single Rooms.

Single rooms are very affordably priced; Every bunk bed is inside a large capsule, almost like a tiny room, but large enough to sit up in, with a light and a electric wall socket, 2 large shelves and a huge drawer under your bed.

The showers would be 100% better if they had Spanish tiles on the floor, instead of drab, grey filthy-looking concrete. The door code changes twice a day, so if you are outside for a few hours and don't have the required phone app, you cannot get in the door without knocking and knocking and waiting. Quite inconvenient if it is raining, or nature is calling.

The beds! Squishy mattresses, privacy curtains, outlets to charge your phone, 8' ceilings. Beautiful architectural details arches pillers tall ceilings lots of tables and chairs.

They need more dishes in the kitchen. Q

Amazing hostel!

We arrived super late so the self check in with door codes was really useful. Our bed area was massive, matress super comfy and shelf space with light. Also had curtain for privacy. We slept really well. Hot showers and ok WiFi. Courtyard was great for chilling. Kitchen good size with seating. Location really good! Our highlight of the stay was the cleaner, she was so lovely always smiling, laughing and joking around and super helpful.

Its nothing against the hostel we loved our stay, and the cleaner always did an amazing job but other travellers were just so dirty. Always making alot of mess in the kitchen, never cleaning up after themselves, if they did the pots would still be dirty. People were stealing others food items. Being vegan i haven't got an issue with others preparing meat around me but the food hygiene was ridiculous raw meat left on the worktops!! Like I said nothing against hostel just unfortunate of our experience.

Great place to stop and look for monthly loggings!

Great place for backpackers traveling in Mexico! The management is really helpful for us poco Spanish people! That is all I can state, as only 3 days in this hostel!

Great place to live, kind staff and awesome kitchen :)

The kitchen is huge and there is all facilities you need to cook a great meal ! :) The staff and the owners are super harmful and helpful. Salsa classes frequently during the week. The place is really nice to live, relaxing, and if you need to dance, it's possible too with all the bar.
